After Israel crossed over the Jordan River into the Promised Land they were instructed to traverse north between Mt. Ebal and Mt. Gerizim. There they would build an altar and rededicate themselves to the Law. To do this, they would recite blessings and curses. The blessings reflected what God would do for them if they kept the Law. The curses reflected the punishments God would bring upon them for rebellion.

Listening to Deuteronomy 27 feels like I am on a lenten season. It's because most of the television channel here in the country are showing movies with that kind of theme, so it was a refreshing moment for me to hear all those words. By the way, I am hoping that you will keep on spreading words of God. We may admit it or not, but a lot of people need it right now especially because we are in a middle of a certain chaos wherein people are losing the faith that they should have in the first place. Having a change of faith will definitely mean a lot!
